On 5th September 2000, our friends at the British Film Institute announced the results of their much anticipated TV 100 poll. This is an attempt to compile an exhaustive list of the one hundred best British television programmes of all time, selected from an extended list of 650 titles across many different genres.
Thousands of votes were cast by members of the television industry and interested others - including Kaleidoscope's organising team - to decide the final results and they make for very interesting reading.
